Joy Purvee is a product of Lake County Schools and is grateful to be given the opportunity to teach for Lake County Schools for the past 13 years. She graduated from UCF with her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and also her Master’s in Educational Leadership.
Joy has taught kindergarten, second, and third grade. She has proudly also served as a Literacy Coach and an Instructional Dean. While in these roles, she served on the MTSS Problem Solving Team, was Safety Committee Chair, Team Leader, School Advisory Committee Chair, and worked as a UCF intern Supervising Teacher, just to name a few.
Her daughter, Kennady, graduated from Mount Dora High in 2022. She now attends UNF so they have two Ospreys in their house.
